Licensed Across Arizona: Bringing Psychiatric Care to Phoenix, Tucson, Flagstaff, and Everywhere Between
Every provider at Anchor Psychiatric Group is licensed to practice across the entire state of Arizona — not just in Phoenix, where we’re based. Whether you’re in Tucson, Flagstaff, Yuma, Sierra Vista, or a rural community without a local psychiatric provider, our team is ready to see you by secure telehealth.
Why this matters
Access to psychiatric care in Arizona depends enormously on where you live. In the Phoenix and Tucson metro areas, you might wait weeks for a new-patient appointment, but at least there are providers to wait for. In many rural counties, and in tribal communities like the Navajo Nation, Hopi, and Tohono O’odham Nation, there may be no local psychiatric provider at all. That can mean driving hours each way for a 20-minute medication check, or simply going without care because the trip isn’t realistic.
We built Anchor to remove that barrier. Telehealth means the same experienced provider who’d see you in an office in Phoenix can see you from your kitchen table in Window Rock or Douglas. No drive, no day off work, no waiting room.
Who we serve
We have particular experience with rural and underserved communities, including tribal health populations, and we understand the specific access challenges that come with distance, limited local infrastructure, and, for many, a justified wariness of systems that haven’t always served these communities well. Cultural respect isn’t an afterthought here. It’s part of how we practice.
We also work with:
- Patients on Medicaid, Medicare, Tricare and most commercial insurance
- Veterans navigating the transition to civilian mental health care
- Adults and children ages 5 and up
- Anyone who’d simply rather not sit in a waiting room
What care looks like
The process is the same wherever you are in the state:
- Request an appointment — no referral needed, and most patients are seen within 2–5 days.
- Initial evaluation — a full conversation about your history, symptoms, and goals, done by secure video.
- A treatment plan built with you — not handed to you.
- Ongoing follow-up — to adjust the plan as your needs change.
Same-day cash-pay discounts are available, and insurance credentialing is in progress across multiple payers.
The bottom line
Wherever you are in Arizona, a fast-growing Phoenix suburb or a community two hours from the nearest hospital, you shouldn’t have to choose between getting care and getting through your day. That’s what “anchoring you through change” means to us in practice: meeting you exactly where you are, literally.
